Just In: Army kills 27 Boko Haram Terrorist In Borno (Photos)
The Nigerian troops after engaging in a fierce gun encounter with Boko-Haram troops have captured some of the members and recovered some machineries used by the deadly terrorist group.
Troops of Sector 1 Operation LAFIA DOLE, in a joint clearance operations with Cameroon Defence Force, this weekend, encountered Boko Haram operatives at the Northern part of Wulgo, Tumbuma, Chikun Gudu and Bukar Maryam villages.
Sagir Musa, Colonel and Acting Director Army Public Relations who released a statement said during the operations, 27 terrorists were killed.
He said, “The following items were recovered:
5 x Gun Trucks, Several Motor Cycles, 5 x AK 47 Rifles, 1 x Automatic Revolver Galil Rifle, 1 x G3 Rifle, 2 x General Purpose Machine Gun , 2 x Anti Aircraft Guns , 4 x Rocket Propelled Gun Tubes, 1 x PK Machine Gun, 1 x M21 Rifle, 1 x Locally Made Dane Gun, 5 x Rocket Propelled Gun Tubes Bombs, 1000 x Assorted rounds of different calibre ammunition, 5 x AK 47 Magazines, Several Links of 12.7 MM, 1 x Land Cruiser Buffalo, 1 x Nissan GT, 1 x Land Cruiser destroyed and 1 x flag and a Grinding Machine
“There is no casualty on the part of the Nigerian and Cameroonian Forces.”
“Coordinated military operation is ongoing especially in the fringes of Gombaru – Ngala and surrounding areas to deal with the fleeing bandits running out from Multi National Joint Task Force onslaught on their hideouts,” the statement added.
our troops are finally reporting some good news, and we wish this is how it continues until the Boko-Haram group have been Destroyed totally.
